FIM MXGP ChampionshipThe 2016 MXGP season has had a little bit of everything so far and heading into the final two rounds of the European leg, the title battle between defending MXGP champion Romain Febvre and new pretender Tim Gajser is set to reach fever pitch. With only two rounds in the USA after Assen on August 28th, can the Slovenian emulate Febvre by winning the premier MXGP class after graduating from MX2? These two unmissable rounds could play a vital role in deciding the outcome.

FIA World Rally ChampionshipNow in its 15th year as part of the WRC, Rally Germany’s formidable tarmac roads are unlike any other on the calendar. It’s constantly changing road surfaces weaving through forests, vineyards and the famous Hinkelsteins – designed to prevent tanks from going off-course – have produced four different winners in as many years, including first-time victors Dani Sordo and Thierry Neuville. Could this be the year that Ott Tänak or Stéphane Lefebvre join their ranks?

European Le Mans SeriesThe ever-popular European Le Mans Series reconvenes at the Paul Ricard circuit for a four-hour duel in the French summer sun. Renowned for producing close multi-class racing between LMP2, LMP3 and GTE machinery, the ELMS has offered a platform for the likes of Brendon Hartley, Oli Webb and Harry Tincknell to earn opportunities in the World Endurance Championship, while also providing gentlemen drivers with a highly competitive, yet cost-friendly alternative. Want to see Fabien Barthez take on ex-F1 driver Giedo van der Garde? Then this could be just the series for you.

FIA European Truck Racing ChampionshipAlso present at the Hungaroring will be the heavyweights of the international motorsport world, the FIA ETRC. These 5.5 tonne juggernauts produce 1,500 horsepower and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in roughly the same time as a Porsche 911, so action-packed racing from Syner, MAN, Scania, IVECO and Mercedes trucks is almost guaranteed.

TCR International SeriesChang International Circuit in Burinam kicks off the Asian leg of the TCR International Series, which has taken further steps in 2016 towards establishing itself as one of the most closely-contested championships in motorsport. With a low-cost remit inviting manufacturers to produce customer cars, VW, SEAT, Honda, Opel, Peugeot, Subaru and now Alfa Romeo – with the beautiful Giulietta – all have cars conforming to TCR specifications. Even more are expected in future as this series, which features Gianni Morbidelli, Alain Menu and Jordi Gene among the driving talent, continues to expand into new markets around the world.

Zandvoort F3 MastersA brief look at the list of names that have won the Zandvoort F3 Masters since 1991 will tell you that this is a race every young driver wants on their CV. Lewis Hamilton, Paul di Resta, Nico Hulkenberg, Jules Bianchi, Valterri Bottas (twice) and Max Verstappen were each victorious in the Masters on their way to the top, while Verstappen made the leap from F3 straight to F1 last year. After a few shaky years, this staple event has returned to its glory days of massive grids and huge prestige. It should be well worth a watch!
