The Austrian round of the GP2 Series had a bitter ending for the Trident GP2 team after the extremely positive results scored in Race 1. As it turned out, the Sprint Race was heavily conditioned by the rain, as well as the driver performance and finishes.
14 - PHILO PAZ ARMAND
Although he had a more conservative run, Philo Armand also experienced a positive race.Starting from the 15th place, the Indonesian Trident driver showed good chemistry with the car despite the unfavourable atmospheric and track conditions.
The young racer crossed the line one position ahead of where he started, giving proof of his increased levels of ability and experience. The team was extremely pleased for his continuous progress. The team and drivers will now be back in action in just a few days for the fifth round of the 2016 series, scheduled for the coming weekend at Silverstone.
15 - LUCA GHIOTTO
Luca Ghiotto already showcased his skills in managing the car and tires in wet conditions last year in the GP3 series. And after his great finish in Race 1, he started from the fifth position on Sunday, when the first three laps, due to the really damp asphalt, were run behind the Safety Car. His great take-off and car control enabled Luca to spend most part of the race between fifth and fourth place, highlighting his passing and defensive abilities. Despite his outstanding performance, the Vicenza-based youngster crossed the line in ninth place following to a spin at the last lap. Despite the fact that this slight mistake prevented him from capping his day with a good finish, all the Trident Team can be really satisfied with the results scored throughout the weekend.
