It was another tough learning weekend at round five of the Dickies British Supersport Championship at the Snetterton 300 circuit for Joe Collier and the One Call JJR Triumph team. Joe fought through troubles over the weekend to gain a 11th and 12th place respectively on Saturday and Sunday.Joe was struggling with set-up throughout the weekend and once again the mixed weather conditions caused problems. Swapping the bike settings from wet to dry throughout the weekend was difficult for the team. The rain came down heavily before and during the qualifying session and Joe had to start from 23rd on the grid. After an incident on lap one Joe and the rest of the pack had to sit behind the safety car for three laps cutting the main race to five laps. He worked hard to push his way up through the riders and managed to get into a points scoring position by lap seven, he kept working hard and brought the One Call Triumph over the finish line in 11th.For race two he started from 18th on the grid for the main race on Sunday. He had a bad start and got boxed in at turn one and two, pushing him back down to 20th after lap one. He soon settled down and got himself into a good rhythm and began to set some consistently good lap times. He worked hard to make solid passes and work his way up through the very competitive pack. By lap nine of the 15-lap race Joe had moved up to 15th and into the points. He kept digging hard and each lap he continued to make more progress, finishing a hard weekend in 12th position.Joe Collier - "It was another tough weekend but we are certainly making steps in the right direction. Once again the British weather played its part and it was hard to get a set-up with the changing conditions. We are starting fresh with all the data at each circuit and when the conditions change so much you constantly have to make changes on the bike from wet to dry.I would like to get a consistently dry race weekend so we can get the bike set-up 100% right for my riding style. We have certainly made some big steps forward this weekend and despite not being happy with the overall results, I'm really pleased with what we have learnt.I know we just need to keep chipping away and I am confident we will be fighting for podiums before long. I know everything is there it is just a case of piecing it altogether, it takes time but we are going in the right direction. I am looking forward to getting to Thruxton and getting some strong results. Thank you to One Call Insurance for their continued support and faith in me."2016 Personal SponsorsMC Motors - One Call Insurance - KGN Pillinger - Gemini Control Systems - McCarroll Engineering - Silkolene - Daytona - Shoei - Spidi - Knox - Hamilton Glass - Jap4Performance - Shredz Fitness Centre
