Bonaldi Motorsport is ready for the next round of Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo at the extraordinary and difficult Spa circuit, renewing the challenge in the PRO-AM category and aiming at the victory in the PRO category…
Next weekend the Belgian circuit of Spa Francorchamps is hosting the fourth round of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo at the same time as the prestigious 24 Hours. With its 7 kilometres, the racetrack of the Ardennes is the longest and, probably, the most difficult of the schedule too: for its curvy design with several very fast changes of slope, it is a really demanding challenge for both drivers and teams. Setting the car perfectly for such a racetrack means finding the right balance between the highest speed, which is necessary on the long straight of Kemmel, and the aerodynamic load, which is fundamentally important to obtain speed in the compression Eau Rouge-Raidillon and to face fast curves like Pouhon and Blanchimont. Besides, weather unpredictability must be taken into consideration: rainy weather is typical in the Andennes and the racetrack is so long that often totally different conditions can occur at one or another curve!
Bonaldi Motorsport is facing Spa Francorchamps renewing the challenge in the PRO-AM category: in fact, the leaders of the championship, Patrick Kujala and Adrian Amstutz, have to deal with an extra rival, Rick Breukers, who passed from the AM to the PRO-AM category during the last round of the Paul Ricard. Breukers is now only one point away from the flagship drivers of Bonaldi Motorsport in the championship standings. In the PRO-AM as well, William Barbosa is required to do better and to rise the standings after his forced retirement in the last French race. With three absolute third positions and a second absolute one in this season, Martin Kodric is missing only one result: a victory which will push him towards the fight to win the championship…
William Barbosa: “I raced at Spa circuit twice with Formula 3 and I have to say that this is my favourite racetrack even if it is the most difficult I have ever raced on. I want to forget my bad luck at the Paul Ricard and repeat the performance I did in Silverstone. I am aware that the victory is a possible goal”.
The weekend schedule starts with Free Practice on Thursday, 28th July at 11.35 a.m. and at 4.00 p.m.; on Friday 29th July Qualifying Practice is at 11.15 a.m. and Race 1 is at 2.55 p.m.; on Saturday 30th July Race 2 starts at 11.50 a.m.
The race is live in Italian on Nuvolari TV, on the digital terrestrial, and streaming live on the official websites of both Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo and Bonaldi Motorsport.
