GHIOTTO FACES HARD LUCK, ARMAND IMPRESSES

The GP2 Series Sprint Race at Budapest turned out to be the best one of the season for Philo Armand. The Indonesian driver was off to a great start although he was partially involved in a turn 2 crash. But after a brief off-track excursion, he was able to avoid the backup and start an hard-charging race that brought him up to P15. On another note, Luca Ghiotto faced a troubled day. After an extraordinary start, he was involved in the aforementioned early incident and despite the fact he had no responsibility in it, he was forced to retire.Armand: “Today’s race has been again positive for us, we improved our pace greatly from the half point to the finish. We still have to find the right confidence for the qualifying session and a better rhythm at the beginning. I’m happy for the continued steps forward that I’m making together with the whole team”. Ghiotto: “We had a really unlucky race today. I found myself in the wrong place at the wrong time. But starting from the back, we know that all drivers gives their absolute 100 percent to recover. We positively look forward to the next round at Hockenheim, where we will try to repeat the good weekend experienced at Silverstone”.
