Daniel Cammish heads to Snetterton for rounds 9 & 10 after the summer break, to resume his title campaign at the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.
The 27-year old recently raced in the British GP supporting Porsche Supercup. It was his third appearance this year on the Grand Prix circuit after winning both the WEC-supporting Carrera Cup races in April and making his Blancpain Endurance Series debut in May in a Lamborghini.
In 2015 Dan managed a clean sweep of pole positions, fastest laps and wins, taking a maximum score from the weekend in his Nationwide Crash Repair/PPG sponsored car. He will be hoping for more of the same this season as he looks to extend his championship lead over nearest rival Dino Zamparelli.
“I’ve always been pretty good around Snetterton,” said Dan. ”I had a fast car last year and it showed as we had a really good weekend and got a good result last year. My intention is to improve on that this year. We haven’t had much running in the wet this year, although we went well at Silverstone. In the dry we know we are quick.
“We’ve had a good test here and I’m confident we can have a good weekend. The track was hot but I think testing so close to the race will only help us as the weather and track conditions will be similar so I really think we’re in a good place.”
Qualifying takes place at 14:30 on Saturday 30th July, with two races on Sunday 31st July at 9:15 and 15:25.
Race two will be broadcast live on ITV4 with highlights of race one shown between 12:50 - 13:50.
