Trident disappointed in Hockenheim GP3 Sprint

The second race of the Grand Prix of Germany didn’t bring the results that the Trident GP3 team expected and deserved at Hockenheim.

After his spectacular race 1 performance, Antonio Fuoco was involved in a couple of contacts in the first two laps and had his car damaged. With fighting attitude and determination, despite the less competitive pace, the Italian, part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, fought his way among his rivals. Unfortunately, with just a few laps to go, an off-track exit at the first corner saw him bounce hard on a kerb. That compromised the car’s performance and forced him to retire.

Artur Janosz was also hit by bad luck as he was involved in an early tangle. The car driven by the Polish driver was damaged on the front wing. From that moment on, the Trident driver struggled in getting a good grip with the car an also had to retire.

Sandy Stuvik and Giuliano Alesi crossed the line in 12th and 14th place respectively. They clearly showcased their growth and proved competitive among the challenging GP3 Series runners.
