Avon Tyres/TTC Group MSA British Hillclimb Championship Rounds 25-26: 20-21 August
The championship heads to Shelsley Walsh, the oldest motorsport venue in the world still to run events on the original course and in continuous use since then.
Scott Moran leads the standings with his closest rival Trevor Willis failing to score at Wiscombe Park in Moran’s absence. Willis will be on a mission as will third place Wallace Menzies.
Reigning champion, Alex Summers is sharing the 2.5 litre Cosworth KF V6 powered Gould GR55 of Mark Coley who admits that Summers will push the car further than it has ever been in its’ ten year life.
With a massive entry of 210 (including reserves), Shelsley Walsh is still the venue at which everyone wants to compete. Scotsman Alex Graham has been trying to get an entry at August Shelsley for 20 years, has finally succeeded and will be driving his historic Gerry Marshall-style 1978 Vauxhall Firenza in class A1 for Roadgoing Series Production Cars up to 2000cc.
