Trident looks ahead to Spa GP2 and GP3

Lining-up on the toughest and most fascinating track of the season, Trident will be back in action this weekend, ready for the final 4-race stint of the 2016 season which is expected to be hotly-contested in both categories.In the GP2 Series, Luca Ghiotto will be back chasing the front end of the charts. The 21-year-old racer from Arzignano has been successfully increased learning curve lately, and he showcased his skills again in Hockenheim with some impressive moves. He is in excellent shape and the chemistry with Team Trident is constantly growing as demonstrated by the great strategy decisions taken in the recent outings. With another top-class performance on the up and down Belgian circuit, Ghiotto would be set for an additional step up in standings. As the situation is still pretty open, a great weekend will be the key for making big gains. Alongside the Italian, 20-year-old Indonesian Philo Paz Armand will continue in his approach to the challenging GP2 championship.Moving over to the GP3 Series, Antonio Fuoco in trimming down his gap to the championship leader race by race. The 20-year-old Italian is now just 11 points away from the top of the table, and the wins scored at Silverstone and Hockenheim provided the right motivation to do it all again in Belgium. Lining-up alongside him will be Giuliano Alesi, who showed great pace in the previous round in Germany. With a good qualifying lap, the Frenchman is definitely going to achieve his first points of 2016. Sandy Stuvik and Artur Janosz showed constant progress in the first part of the season, working hard with the team’s technical staff. As they have all what it takes to stay at the front, they will complete Trident’s top quartet.The GP2 Series will unfold according to the regular timetable, with a 45-minute practice session at noon on Friday followed by qualifying at 15:55. Race 1 is set for Saturday at 15:40, while Race 2 is scheduled for 10:25 on Sunday. The GP3 team will be on-track for the first time on Friday afternoon, with the practice session beginning at 17:50. Saturday will be again an intense day, with qualifying starting at 9:45 AM and the Feature Race at 17:20. The final race of the weekend will be at 9:15 AM on Sunday morning. As usual, the weekend will benefit from a massive live and tape-delayed TV coverage platform including the SkySportF1 network.
