The Course and What's OnBased in Cardiff Bay, the race course is the shortest of all our events this year, making it one of the most tightly contested races on the calendar.

The fleet of P1 SuperStock teams will be based in the Mermaid Quay, whilst the P1 AquaX competitors will launch from the Barrage. Wherever you take your place to watch the action you will be treated to some fantastic racing as well as freestyle performances from our hydroflight and jet ski freestylers.

The high-energy race takes place close to shore allowing fantastic spectator viewing. The Welsh Grand Prix of the Sea is slightly different to your typical P1 SuperStock race due to the heat formula that breaks down the races into short and exciting burst of excitement.

So what can you expect from the weekend?

The Cardiff Harbour Festival will be providing plenty of entertainment with live music, the Newfoundland Rescue Dogs Display and street performances from The Van Dunk Brothers, Come Fly With Me, Maureen and Ronaldi present The Great Fiasco, The Two Man One Man Band, Able Mabel, Walkabouts, The Lifeguards and The Trawlers.

Alongside the P1 Race Centre there will also be stands from the RNLI, Help For Heroes, Experience Kissimmee and the P1 Marine Foundation, as well as P1 merchandise available to purchase from the merchandise stall.
