BIRMINGHAM wrap up their regular National League home fixtures when they take on the Isle of Wight at Perry Barr on Wednesday. The Brummies secured their place in the end of season play offs with a 53-37 win away at the Warriors last week- but boss Graham Drury says it's important his team don't take their foot off the gas as they now try and guarantee themselves first choice of opposition by finishing top of the table. The home side bring in Mitchell Davey to guest for the injured Zach Wajtknecht, and will make a late decision on Jack Parkinson-Blackburn who has been struggling with illness.Drury said: “Jack is going to ring me first thing on Wednesday and we will make a decision between us then depending on how he feels.“As for Mitchell, he really impressed me when he came here with Coventry the other week and was only denied a full maximum when his engine blew in one ride.“I'm sure he'll do an outstanding job for us on Wednesday and if he does then we might just keep him in mind when booking our guest for our big Knockout Cup clash against Kent next week.”

LAKESIDE have moved squad member Ben Morley into their starting line-up for the remainder of the season. Morley, 22, comes into the Hammers’ side as a replacement for Robert Mear after he suffered a fractured shoulder blade in a grasstrack crash at the weekend.Hammers co-promoter Jon Cook said: “Ben is hugely popular at the Raceway, and he rides the track particularly well as we’ve seen in the past.“He’s been a member of a squad but only featured once, so we’re pleased to be able to give him an opportunity over rest of the season. “Obviously we wish Robert a speedy recovery, and in the meantime we hope Ben can step in and do a good job for us at reserve.”

CRADLEY have snapped up Tyler Govier as a replacement for long-term injury victim James Purchase.Govier made 11 appearances for the Heathens in 2015 before making the switch to the Isle of Wight this season - but he lost his team place after suffering concussion in a heavy crash ironically against Cradley on August 4.He said: “To be back with such a great club is a privilege and I’m really looking forward to it. Being dropped by the Isle of Wight was a bit of a disappointment given the way my season was going, but injuries took their toll a bit.“I think things have worked out better now, being back with Cradley, and I’m delighted to get the opportunity.”
