Rounds 27-28: Gurston Down, 27-28 August

The top three in this year’s championship chase left Gurston Down with the same points difference as when they arrived, all having scored 18 points on a day of changeable weather with patchy drizzle hampering first qualification runs.

A win and third each for championship leader Scott Moran and nearest rival Trevor Willis, with a pair of second places for third position Wallace Menzies left them exactly where they had been before the weekend with just three events and six run-offs remaining.
