Trident GP2 Series Monza Sprint Review

Luca Ghiotto was put out of contention by one of his contender, while Armand ended up in 17th place. The Sprint Race lasted for less than one lap for Luca Ghiotto, who was put out of contention in front of his home crowd by Oliver Rowland. The disappointment was clearly visible in the eyes of the 22-year-old Italian, who was starting from the third spot on the grid. “We worked well here at Monza and found a good set-up. I’m honestly disappointed for what happened. I lost an almost certain podium finish in the Feature Race not for my responsibility and at the sart today I was first slowed down by Mitch Evans and then punted and forced to retire by Oliver Rowland”. The Vicenza-based driver is looking forward for the last two rounds of the season. “I hope that in the last couple of rounds we will rebound and get rewarded for our effort in Malaysia and Abu Dhabi. My goal is to enter the top-5 in the championship standings and I will do everything I can to make it".

Lining-up together with team-mate Ghiotto, Philo Armand ended up in 17th place. Once again he showed great consistency in a continue improvement.
