Podium at Le Mans puts Michael Benyahia 3rd in French F4 Championship

The maturity of the young Moroccan driver made the difference during the penultimate roundof the 2016 French F4 Championship, from 9th to 11th September on the Bugatti circuit at LeMans. Capable of leading performances, Michael Benyahia also knows to race with his head.

Focused on his return to the Championship, he was able to combine speed and consistency to perform a dramatic jump from 6th to 3rd position at a key moment of the season. His place on the podium showed the extent of his talent.

"It was not all easy at Le Mans this weekend, but I’m delighted to finally make a positive assessment at this meeting. With my coach Stéphane Daoudi, we optimised my driving well and developed a strategy favouring consistencyto increase my score in the provisional rankings, because we knew that the gaps would be very tight this weekend. I fulfilled my mission perfectly to move up from 6th to 3rd place in the Championship, taking 2nd placein the Junior classification.

"At the same time, I raised, probably for the first time, the Moroccan flag on the podium of this legendary circuit. I think this will please my Moroccan fans and the FRMSA who are following me closely!"
