Round 10: Loughborough Autotest, 19 September
Richard Pinkney won the final round of this year’s championship at Blyton Raceway, ahead of Malcolm Livingston and 2016 champion Alastair Moffatt.
Dave Evans took an early lead after three tests, with Pinkney, Livingston, Dave Mosey and Moffatt all covered by just three seconds. Mosey’s Mini fell away during the morning, leaving Pinkney’s Caterham with a clear lead.
Pinkney extended his lead to 13 seconds over Livingston, with Evans, Moffatt and Chapman covered by just four seconds. Moffatt recovered to third overall at the end of 15 tests to clinch his championship.
