The 9th round of the TCR International Series took contenders to the street circuit of Singapore, in the spectacular framework of the formula 1 Grand-Prix. Good result for Romeo Ferraris, who technically supports Mulsanne Racing, as Petr Fulín took 9th in Race 2 at the wheel of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR. The Czech could have easily finished sixth but a spin by Gianni Morbidelli ahead of him made lose him some positions.
The entire weekend has been very positive for the team, as the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR has posted one of the fastest top speeds of the entire field, proving the great progress made by the Lombardy-based team. Following today’s 2 points, Mulsanne Racing holds its sixth position in the Teams’ standings, with 23 units. The next round will take place in Sepang, Malaysia, again with the F.1, on 2nd October.
Claudio Borotletto, Team Manager “To successfully complete a weekend like this is already a great satisfaction. Our car is growing steadily and the little issues we have encountered were quickly solved, allowing Fulín to be consistently in the points zone. In terms of reliability, we have been able to cope with the 40 degree Celsius of temperature (and 52 on track) and this is very positive, as we never had such extreme conditions in the past. Moreover, we have achieved our 1750 cc engine to stay ahead the 2-litre powered cars of big competitors such as Ford and Opel. This is also a great satisfaction for us”.
