South Africa's German ADAC Formula 4 rookie Jonathan Aberdein intends to end his first season on top of the podium at the championship finale at Hockenheim 1-2 October. Aberdein who has shown impressive pace throughout the year, has shone toward the end of the season as he came to grips with the series.

"I'm looking forward to ending the year off with a bang!" Aberdein explained. Jonathan enjoyed his best weekend of the year at the previous round in Zandvoort, where he brought it home in the top ten in all three races and ended up on the podium for the first time in the third race. "I plan to build on my three top-ten finishes at Zandvoort and who knows - wouldn't it be great to take that final step up to the top of the podium."
