The GP2 and GP3 Series are set for their first extra-European round of the season. More than ever, the Team Trident drivers are set to be the young lions!The team will face a crucial round taking place far away from Europe at Sepang. With Ghiotto looking for his first win of the season and Fuoco fighting for the GP3 Series, a big show is expected in Malaysia.With the home round of Monza now in the books, the GP2 Series will now enter its final two-race stint next weekend lining-up for the extra-European rounds of Sepang and Abu Dhabi. After the impressive showing for the combo of Trident and Luca Ghiotto, the Italian combination is looking forward to capture their first win of the season and rejoin the top-5 in standings at the Malaysian circuit. The recent championship rounds have demonstrated that it just takes a perfect outing to rewrite the values, enabling drivers to quickly improve their position. The 21-year-old from Veneto and the Milan-based outfit are looking forward to qualifying in order to capture a good starting position on the grid. As usually happens in the series, qualifying pretty much determines who will be among the pack fighting for victory. Ghiotto is working hard together with the team’s technical staff to leave a strong mark on the penultimate round of 2016. On the other hand, Indonesian Philo Armand eyes a good showing for his home crowd as he lines-up for the closest round to his hometown.Moving over to the GP3 Series, all eyes will be set on the battle for the championship lead which involves Trident racer Antonio Fuoco. the Italian is mounting the challenge to current leader Charles Leclerc. Considering the high temperatures expected, the ability to manage tyre degradation will be key in order to aim for success. The 24 points separating the frontrunners can be made up in only one round. And Fuoco has all what it takes to do the job.Fresh 17-year-old Giuliano Alesi will try to make his way to the points zone again with a solid performance, while Pole Artur Janosz and Thai Sandy Stuvik are set to continue in their consistent moment of form with the goal of inching closer to the front end of the points chart. The GP2 Series will follow a specific timetable starting with a 30-minute free practice session on Thursday at 16:05. Qualifying will be at 15:55 on Friday while Race 1 will start on Saturday at 11:50. Race 2 is scheduled for Sunday at 11:20.The GP3 team will also have an early start on Thursday with Practice set for 15:15. As for GP2, qualifying will be on Friday, precisely at 16:50. Race 1 will be on Saturday at 10:30 followed by Race 2 at 10:05 on Sunday. The whole weekend will be covered live on TV internationally, in a distribution plan which includes the SkySportF1 networks.
