Round 3: PF International, 23-25 September
Oliver Hodgson won both finals with ease, catapulting him to the British title and with it the prize of an OTK factory supported free entry for the CIK-FIA World Championship in Bahrain.
Dean MacDonald’s hopes were dashed at the start of the first final when Luke Knott and Hodgson touched at the first corner, spearing MacDonald over the grass and down to last. Hodgson leapfrogged Jamie Flynn and Ross Martin for his first final win.
Martin’s second place became eighth with a displaced front fairing penalty, elevating Flynn and Jacob Stilp. For the second final Hodgson snatched a huge gap at the start and was never touched again, whilst Stilp held off the rising MacDonald for second. Martin retired early on and so did Roy Johnson just after taking fourth from Tom Gamble.
