The AmDTuning.com team will hope to enjoy a successful end to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season this weekend when the curtain comes down on the 2016 campaign at Brands Hatch. The West Thurrock-based team goes into the season finale in confident mood on the back of strong weekends on track at both Rockingham and Silverstone, where driver Ollie Jackson picked up three points scoring finishes at the wheel of the team’s Audi S3.The Brands Hatch GP circuit was arguably the strongest circuit for the Audi last year, with confidence high that the same will be true this time around. In fact, given the improvements made to the car over the course of the season, the team will hope to push towards what would be a first top ten finish for the Audi to bring the curtain down on its first full season with the car on a high.“I feel sad in a way that we are coming towards the end of the season, particularly as we are really starting to now delve into what we can achieve with the Audi,” Ollie said. “In the last two rounds we have taken big steps forwards, and if things had gone a little bit differently, we could well have scored points in all three races at Rockingham and Silverstone, which shows the progress we have made.“Hopefully this weekend, we can hit the ground running when go out on track and then work on really nailing qualifying to put us in the mix for race day. If we can try and get ourselves well into the top 20 on the grid, then we’ll be in a good position to push for points.“With championships to be decided and so many drivers in the mix, it promises to be an exciting weekend on track and if we can get ourselves into the top ten for the first time with the Audi, it would be a great end to the year – especially at the team’s home circuit.”Team boss Shaun Hollamby shared in Ollie’s optimism about what Finals Day may hold, with more points being a realistic goal.“The Audi is now performing the best it has ever performed and Ollie is doing a great job behind the wheel, so there is no reason why we can’t go into the weekend confident of challenging for points,” he said. “The results at both Rockingham and Silverstone showed what the package can do, and now we have to see if we can build on that and score three good points finishes.“Finals Day can always be a bit chaotic and action-packed in terms of what happens on track, so we need to make sure we keep our noses clean and hopefully we’ll be rewarded with some strong end results.“We said at the start of the year that we wanted to try and break into the top ten with the Audi, so if we could do it this weekend it would be a great end to the season.”
