Ben Hingeley will join Fortec Motorsports for the upcoming Duo BRDC British Formula 3 Autumn Trophy at Snetterton (29/30 October), it has been confirmed today (21 October).
Hingeley enjoyed an impressive maiden season in BRDC British Formula 3 in 2016, finishing 10th overall but improving as the season went on, taking his maiden podium finish at Snetterton before qualifying on pole position at the Donington Park season finale and coming home third in race one.
Hingeley, who hails from Glascoed, Abergele in North Wales, achieved notable success in karting, winning the 2011 Welsh Mini Max title, before finishing as runner-up in the 2013 Super One Junior Rotax Championship whilst also taking the British Open crown in the same year. He stepped up to single-seaters in 2015 and claimed the Formula Jedi title in his rookie year, winning eight races with three further podium finishes en route to the championship.
Hingeley said: “I'm really pleased to be competing in the Duo BRDC British F3 Autumn Trophy with Fortec. I enjoyed my first season in the championship, scoring some good results including podium finishes, and I'm looking forward to continuing that at Snetterton and fighting for the Autumn Trophy title.”

The 2016 Duo BRDC British Formula 3 Autumn Trophy enables drivers to get their first taste of British F3 whilst also offering additional mileage for those drivers remaining with the championship for a second campaign.
