GLASGOW star Richie Worrall insists family matters will be put to one side when he goes up against twin brother Steve in the Premier League KO Cup Final.Richie’s Tigers side travel to his former club Newcastle for Sunday’s first leg, with the second leg at Ashfield on Monday. And after missing out in the title play-offs and the League Cup, he is desperate to bring silverware to the Scottish venue. He said: “I think this will be a first for a Final. On normal days I want him to do well - he is my brother - but those days I hope he has a bad one.“This is what we’ve been riding for all year. I want to win and I’ll put my neck on the line to do it. I want to win a trophy with Glasgow, as we've had such a good season.“But speedway is a weird old sport and that’s why it’s so exciting – you just don’t know what’s going to happen.”(SPEEDWAY 2)

EASTBOURNE boss Connor Dugard says the Eagles’ first leg performance will be vital in the National League Grand Final. The Arlington side host league leaders Birmingham in Sunday’s opener, and have Georgie Wood and Charley Powell back after missing the KO Cup Final clash between the sides four days ago.The Brummies bring in James Shanes to guest for injured No.1 Zach Wajtknecht, having been held to a six-point home win in that Cup-tie.Dugard said: “That result gives us a clue of what we can do there when we go back for the second leg. I think, maybe, we can improve on that result but the key will be here on Sunday night.“We aim to hit the Brummies hard from the off and try and build up a decent lead to take up to the Midlands to give ourselves a big chance of winning the league title.”Birmingham boss Graham Drury said: “This has got the potential to be one of the all-time classic Grand Finals. Two very strong sides going head-to-head for the league title - what more could you ask for?“We're riding supremely well this year and there's no doubt about it, we're going to Eastbourne to win!“Our lads fear no-one and if they just ride how they have done all season then I'm sure they'll have every chance of inflicting a rare home defeat on Eastbourne.”

BUXTON wrap up a tough 2016 campaign with a home National League clash against Rye House on Sunday. The Hitmen are without the injured Shelby Rutherford whilst Lee Dicken is unavailable, with Tony Atkin and Tom Woolley stepping in to guest.Manager Jason Pipe said: “Let's hope Buxton don't have another season like this one ever again. I don't think anyone at the club can say they've enjoyed this season. “But we've had to battle on and got on with it the best we could. No-one likes to finish bottom of the league and I'm certain we wouldn't have, had we not had those injuries and retirements to deal with. “I'm hoping by having three riders in our team on Sunday, that are capable of double figures around here, along with Joe Lawlor at reserve, that we can give those Raiders a tough afternoon and bring home all three points.”
