AUSTRALIAN youngster Jack Holder has been named as Poole’s first signing for the 2017 SGB Premiership campaign.Holder joins the line-up for his parent club on a 7.16 average after spending this year with Plymouth in the former Premier League.Poole promoter Matt Ford said: “Jack absolutely fears no-one. Whilst he has full respect for all his opponents he has no regard for their reputation and fears none of them. That in my view is a great attribute to have as a speedway rider. “I believe that Jack Holder is going places and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he wasn't in time to become the main name of that dynasty.”Ford has also confirmed Holder’s elder brother Chris, a long-term stalwart of the club, does not feature in their 2017 team-building plans.

SWINDON have moved to end speculation over the future of Grand Prix superstar Jason Doyle – who will lead the Robins into the 2017 SGB Premiership season.Doyle has been handed a starting average of 13.41 after the revamp of British Speedway’s top two divisions which sees the Abbey Stadium side building to a 50-point limit in the top flight.Team boss Alun Rossiter said: “The presence of a rider like Doyley is infectious throughout the team, he’s a great guy to have around and we’re delighted to be honouring our agreement with him.“I know there was a lot of speculation when the new average was announced – and I won’t pretend otherwise, it’s tough building a team around that – but we are making progress with riders.“I know my team won’t please everyone but I am putting into place riders who can improve and who, I believe, will be good to work with – and to have one of the best riders in the world at Swindon has to be a good thing, and a good thing for British Speedway.”
