FORMER World No.2 Krzysztof Kasprzak will resume his Poole career in the 2017 SGP Premiership campaign.Polish star Kasprzak, who last rode for the Pirates in 2012, returns to Wimborne Road on an 11.07 average after being with Coventry this year.Poole promoter Matt Ford said: “KK has been the unfortunate victim of both his own and the club's success in past seasons, finding himself in direct competition with the likes of Chris Holder and Darcy Ward as an out-and-out number one.“Despite his factored average consuming a big chunk of our points, I am really pleased to be able to welcome him back yet again.“I know for sure that he absolutely revels in riding for Poole as we saw last season when he stepped into the breach for us as a guest against Belle Vue. He was absolutely terrific, delivering an unbeaten showing, and I feel there are plenty of those type of performances still left him in.”

NICK Morris has agreed a new deal to stay with Swindon for the 2017 season.Morris has been backed to bounce back from an inconsistent year by Robins boss Alun Rossiter.And the rider himself said an Abbey Stadium return was always his first choice.“Everything about it makes sense for me,” he said. “I am based in Swindon, it’s also where my workshop facility is and it’s very much a second home to me.“The new stadium is also an exciting development and I’m really pleased to be staying. Hopefully I can have more time on the bike next year and have a good one.”

BLOSSOMING talent Tom Bacon is hopeful he can be a big Peterborough hit in 2017.The 23 year-old will step up to SGB Championship level for the first time after accepting a reserve berth with the Panthers, having impressed at National League level for Birmingham this year.Bacon said: “I've had two good years in the National League and I believe this is the right time to step up.“I did four guest bookings in the Premier League towards the end of last season and scored points in all of them. That was really heartening and hopefully I can do it on a regular basis for Peterborough next year.“There was a bit of interest from other clubs, but I like the people here and enjoyed doing a few second-halves at the East of England Showground when I was just starting out. I know it is going to be tough, but I'm excited by the challenge.”

BIRMINGHAM have announced the return of Jack Parkinson-Blackburn as their first signing for the 2017 season.The 16-year-old will be back at Perry Barr for a second successive year after taking the National League by storm in his debut campaign.Brummies promoter Graham Drury said: “It was my intention not to finalise any deals until after the AGM because we don’t know what sorts of rules and points limits are going to be thrown at us.“However, Jack was one of the riders who was in all of my different team permutations and we decided to make our move early.“A high number of teams from all three divisions have approached Jack since the end of last season and we simply had to get him back on board.“Other clubs may have tried to have lured him away by throwing all sorts of enticing offers at him, but there was only one club he wanted to ride for again at this level and he’s showed his loyalty to Birmingham and he’ll gain even more respect for that!”

SHEFFIELD have been given a winter boost after striking a deal to keep their long-term sponsors on board.Award-winning Sheffield Window Centre – who were recently named Installer of the Year - will back the Owlerton club for an 11th straight season and company boss Ian Hunter says he’s pleased that the relationship will continue.He said: “We’ve supported the Tigers for a long time now and we’ll be back for next year.“The team is looking promising and there’s every hope that they can go one better than last season.”
