(GREAT Britain step up their preparations for the 2017 season with a two-day training camp at King’s Lynn this week.
Alun Rossiter’s full squad will also be joined at the Adrian Flux Arena by four of the country’s most promising youngsters at the venue for their World Cup opener in July.
Rossiter said: “One of the important things is the bonding and the fitness side of it, and we’re fortunate that Buster (Chapman) one of those who can sort the track even if the weather is looking iffy, so we decided to stay in England this year.
“Also we have the World Cup round at King’s Lynn. I know we’re a while away from that, but it gives everyone a chance to have some good time on track there.
“The whole idea is to get everybody there, and this week we will have around 18 riders, including the youngsters.
“We’ll have a good team bonding session, and we’ll go through the fitness side of it and the food side of it together – everything from top to bottom. From the first fitness session we had at King’s Lynn, the signs are very positive.”

LEICESTER have appointed Jim Lynch as their new team manager ahead of the SGB Premiership campaign.
Former Peterborough, Belle Vue and Reading boss Lynch had been set to take charge at the Lions’ local rivals Coventry but became available when the Bees were withdrawn from the competition due to their stadium issues.
Lynch said: “I hadn’t planned to resume my involvement in speedway until Coventry came along, and I hope that their unfortunate demise is only temporary as it will be a big loss to the sport if they cannot find a way back.
“The offer of a job of team manager at Leicester did come as a surprise, I must admit.
“I have been following in the news recent developments at Leicester and am impressed with the improvements being made since Damien Bates took over the club. After he had outlined his plans for the Lions to me it was an easy decision to accept the post.”
