Italian GT Championship moves on to Misano

The second round of the Italian GT Championship that takes place this weekend at the Misano circuit marks a second season start for Riccardo Agostini.

After a difficult but good weekend - in terms of points - at Imola, the Italian racer is aiming for the first 2017 podium, sharing the Antonelli Motorsport's Lamborghini Huracán GT3 with Daniel Zampieri.

At the Santerno's track, despite an excellent qualifying when he set the third quickest time, Agostini claimed a fifth and fourth position.

During the one month break the team continued its work on. More over the new BoP reduced of 20 kilos the weight of the car and there will not be any time penalty for Race 1. A mix that could bring a consistent result.

On the same trak, last year Agostini claimed a fourth place in the Italian GT race, whilst in 2015 - the year that crowned him Italian Carrera Cup champion - he finshed twice second and in 2012 achieved two podium finishes in F3, scoring important points for the Italian title.

This coming weekend action gets underway on Friday with the free practice sessions. Qualifying sessions - 15 minutes each one - take place on Saturday from 8:50 am, followed by the first 48-minute races [plus one lap] scheduled at 3:45 pm. Race 2 is scheduled on Sunday at 3:40 pm.
