Trident GP3 Series Sprint Race Report

The Team Trident drivers delivered a spectacular race on the ups and down Red Bull Ring venue. Giuliano Alesi took home a brilliant second position while Ryan Tveter barely missed the podium securing fourth place.

The cars prepared by Team Trident starred once again at Red Bull Ring in the sprint race held by the GP3 Series at the Austrian venue. On the hills of the Spielberg circuit, 17-year-old Giuliano Alesi took home second place with an outstanding run that he managed in a really clever fashion. The young Frenchman, supported by the Ferrari Driver Academy program, stayed close to the leading car of Raoul Hyman, who did not make a single mistake, throughout the whole distance and eventually finished less than one second away from the winner. That demonstrated the pressure that Alesi was able to put on his rival all the time. Ryan Tveter confirmed his potential by finishing fourth, on the verge of a podium finish, to cap a really positive round for him. Swissman Kevin Jörg ended up a flawless run in a good ninth place while Frenchman Dorian Boccolacci put up one of his brilliant recoveries. Unfortunately, he ruinously ended up off track due to a contact with another car. Despite rolling several times, Dorian didn’t suffer from any physical damage.

Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager:
“The competitive level showed by our drivers in the Feature Race had made me look forward to today’s heat. A great plaudit goes to Giuliano Alesi who, at the end of a really clever race, secured second place to underline his remarkable potential. Positive notes also came from Ryan Tveter, who got the right chemistry with the team’s way of working and is clearly showing some results. Kevin Jörg was positive too as he has all the skills needed to be among the frontrunners in the next few rounds, while Dorian scared us quite a bit with the crash which was fortunately harmless for him
