After a brilliant season opening, we now head to Brands Hatch in Kent for round six of the Hel Performance British Motostar Championship and the middle round of this year. This weekend will be held on the larger Grand Prix circuit which will also be the location of the final round in 3 months time.
Thomas in previous years has had some brilliant results around the 2.4-mile circuit and will be hoping to repeat this success heading into the weekend. After five rounds so far this season, seven podiums and one race win, Thomas is 3rd in the championship.
This weekend will see Thomas on track during Friday's practice sessions at 11.10 – 11.40 and then at 16.10 – 16.40 in the afternoon. Saturday will continue with qualifying at 09.00 – 09.30 and then a race in the afternoon at 15.20. Sunday will have morning warm-up at 10.00 – 10.08, pit lane walk at 11.15 – 12.05 and the second race of the weekend in the afternoon at 14.40.
Thomas’ thoughts heading into round six:
“The Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit has been a highlight in my career so far with some brilliant races including the European Moriwaki Cup in 2015. I love the characteristics of the circuit and aim to be on it from the go. A win at Snetterton has really added to my confidence and I know I can repeat it this weekend - although I’d like to do it with a knee slider! Lap record I’m sure will be on the cards this weekend after the season so far and I’m happy to get racing. I’ve been training hard since Snetterton, and I can’t wait to get going.“
Case Moto Rapido Moto3 team manager, Iain Hopcroft added:
“Now the team have tasted victory with Thomas they are wanting more, we know he is more than capable so watch out this weekend for him on the top step.”
