PETERBOROUGH star Chris Harris believes the hosts will go into Sunday’s SGB Championship Fours with a strong chance of success.
The Panthers stage one of the standout meetings on the domestic calendar with all ten second-tier clubs involved.
Harris is joined by Jack Holder, Paul Starke and Ulrich Ostergaard – with Bradley Wilson-Dean as reserve – in the home line-up as they face Edinburgh, Sheffield, Workington and Scunthorpe in Group A.
Harris said: “It’s been a long time since I rode in one of these meetings, but I know it’s a big one and I’m really looking forward to it.
“I haven’t ever won it, so it would be great to do that, and especially with it being at Peterborough it would be nice for the fans as well.
“We’re a good team as long as we all click on the day. I know there are some other strong teams with very good riders in them, but who would have said last year that Plymouth were going to win it?”

MILDENHALL took control of their KO Cup replay against Stoke with a 57-33 first-leg win at West Row on Tuesday.
The initial tie finished 90-90 after 50-40 home wins for both sides, but the Fen Tigers will now take a 24-point advantage back to Loomer Road.
Connor Mountain (14) and Danny Halsey (11+3) both dropped just one point to the opposition, with Luke Ruddick making a successful return from injury on 8+2. Mitchell Davey notched 11 for the Potters.
Mildenhall promoter Kevin Jolly said: “The lads put on another fine show tonight and at the moment look so professional and organised at home. They are hungry for the points and were in no mood to ease up once we had Stoke on the back foot.
“I am very pleased with a 24 point lead and although we will not be complacent in the second leg I am expecting us to do a professional job and go through to the semi finals.”
Stoke boss Malcolm Vasey said: “We started well with a couple of 4-2 heat advantages early on, but Mildenhall then hit back at us and got a few heat wins and we struggled to contain them.
“It does leave us with a lot to do in the second leg at Loomer Road but all is not lost, we are still in there with a chance - but it does now mean that we will need to be at our very best and put in a performance that shows we have the desire and hunger to go through to the semi-finals, because that is what Mildenhall have done tonight.”

KING’S Lynn will have three debutants on show in tonight’s (Wednesday) clash with in-form Swindon at the Adrian Flux Arena.
Tomas H Jonasson, Michael Palm Toft and Josh Auty have all been signed by the Stars in a drastic re-vamp of their SGB Premiership line-up.
Meanwhile the Robins arrive in Norfolk on a run of eight successive victories, and have booked Jake Knight to guest for the injured Zach Wajtknecht at reserve.
King’s Lynn promoter Keith Chapman said: “Swindon are the form team in the league right now and fair play to them. A run like that takes serious teamwork as a result of a fantastic team spirit.
“That’s something we’ve been sadly lacking here at King’s Lynn up until now. I have found it hard to accept some of the things that have happened and felt I had to do something to bring something back to the club.
“I want to work with people who want to do well for King’s Lynn Speedway and who are determined to make things happen. The guys we have brought in agree with that and fully understand what I expect.”
Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: “Our last trip to King’s Lynn was the only time this season that we’ve failed to get at least a point from an away match.
“I felt we were a bit unfortunate on that night, and hopefully with the way the boys have been riding lately we’ll go there with plenty of confidence and feeling like we should be able to get at least something from the meeting.
“I know they’ve made several changes so it’s hard to know what to expect from them. I’m sure their new riders will be keen to impress, but it’s a track we can ride well and we’re looking forward to it.”

RYE House move into a run of five meetings in eleven days tonight (Wednesday) with their season at a vital stage.
The Rockets hand a debut to new signing Krzysztof Kasprzak in their Hoddesdon clash with Leicester, as they look to bridge a ten-point gap to the SGB Premiership play-off places.
The Lions, meanwhile, bring in Kyle Howarth to guest for the injured Pawel Przedpelski with rider-replacement in operation at No.1 for Kim Nilsson.
Rye House boss Peter Schroeck said: “We will obviously take it one day at a time, but there is no doubt that we need to build some real momentum over these next three home meetings in order to set ourselves up for our trips to Poole and Leicester.
“It’s a big match for KK – and also for us as a club. We’ve got three home matches on the bounce, and we need both the available points and the great opportunity they provide to build momentum and confidence for the two away matches that follow.
“Put them all together and you’ve got five matches that could put us right back in the play-off picture. The big push starts here.”
Leicester star Lasse Bjerre said: “I’m really enjoying my racing at the moment, and things have been going well for me recently.
“I’ve been keeping busy which is good and I’ve actually got some new GM engines which are working really well.
“Hopefully I can keep riding well in the away meetings coming up and we can get some good results.”

BIRMINGHAM host National League leaders Belle Vue at Perry Barr tonight (Wednesday) – with the visitors now able to call on two of their regular riders.
Dan Bewley and former Brummies star Jack Smith had been due to race for the senior Aces side at Poole, but with that match an early call-off they will take their place in the Colts line-up in the West Midlands.
The visitors continue to operate rider-replacement for injured captain Lee Payne, whilst the Brummies bring in Alex Spooner to replace Kyle Roberts at reserve.
Birmingham boss Graham Drury said: “The majority of people will have been waiting for this fixture to come around for a while and they want to see the strongest teams possible.
“The two line-ups are full of exciting racers and I think we’re in for one hell of a speedway meeting.
“If we could secure another three league points at home, they could prove to be invaluable as we continue pushing for the play-offs and we need our supporters to be in full voice for the lads on Wednesday.”
Colts co-boss Graham Goodwin said: “We’re grateful to both Mitchell (Davey) and Danny (Ayres) who were more than happy to assist us, but it’s always a million times better when you can track your own riders in such an important race.
“We will still be utilising rider replacement for Lee Payne at No.4, which will allow us to take full advantage of the skills of the rest of the team to hopefully come away with a favourable result.
“At minimum I’d like us to come away with a point but the perfect night would see us leave with all four. Either way, I’ve every faith that our boys can deliver a performance to be proud of.”
