Jason Carroll and the crew of the MOD 70 ARGO first to finish on Transpac Race

Congratulations to Jason Carroll and the crew of the MOD 70 ARGO, first to finish in the 2019 Transpac Race!

Argo put 70+ miles of distance between themselves and fellow MOD 70s PowerPlay and Maserati on Day 1 of the race and never let the lead go. Peter Cunningham and the PowerPlay team continued to close the gap over the 4.5 days of racing, getting to within 20 miles of Argo, but they ran out of race course in the end.

Argo and PowerPlay recently matched up in May in the first CA 500 race, San Francisco to San Diego, with PowerPlay coming out on top by about 90 minutes in their warm up event for Transpac.

Argo Team: Jason Carroll (helm), Westy Barlow, Chad Corning (skipper), Thierry Fouchier, Anderson Reggio (navigator), Alister Richardson, Brian Thompson

The course record (4 days, 6 hours, 32 min, 30 seconds), set in 2017 was about 5 hours faster than Argo's time this year, still held by HL Enloe's Mighty Merloe.
