Already winning on tarmac and gravel, Clio RX and Clio Rally5 will tackle a new surface this winter as part of the Clio Ice Trophy created within the Crèdit Andorrà GSeries.
Building on the proven versatility of the fifth generation of Clio racing cars, the Clio Ice Trophy will be open to Clio RX and the tarmac and gravel versions of Clio Rally5.

 
Organised within the two-wheel-drive category of the Crèdit Andorrà GSeries, a reference for ice racing in Europe, the Clio Ice Trophy will be contested over four rounds with as many different track configurations at the Pas de la Casa Circuit (Andorra). Competitors will have free practice before moving on to qualifying and then the finals on the same day.

 
Drivers competing with Clios will race in both the Clio Ice Trophy and the two-wheel-drive championship. There will be a specific Clio Ice Trophy classification at each meeting, cumulating the points awarded at the end of qualifying (15-13-11-9-7-5-4-3-2-1) and the finals (25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1).

 
As is the case in every trophy initiated by Alpine Racing, the customer racing department and the promoter - Circuit Andorra - will provide technical support to guarantee sporting fairness and an attractive bonus and prize scheme. The top five finishers at each meeting will receive financial and spare-parts vouchers. The inaugural Clio Ice Trophy winner and best female at the end of the season will win an entry fee for a full season in one of the existing Clio Trophies in rallying. The second and third-place finishers will also be rewarded.

 
Michelin has been named as the exclusive tyre manufacturer for the Clio Ice Trophy. Two drivers will be able to share the same Clio to maintain costs accessible. Lastly, several different entry packages are available, including one offering entry fees and a starting bonus to female drivers to help democratise motorsport.
