Open invitation for supporters to commemorate Remembrance at a whole host of events including Race of Remembrance at Anglesey, iRace of Remembrance, Race of Remembrance Karting and #YourRoR
Pitlane Service of Remembrance to be live-streamed as all events are paused on Sunday 13th November at 10:45
Regarded as a highlight of the British motorsport calendar, Mission Motorsport, The Forces’ Motorsport Charity has today announced the eagerly awaited dates for Race of Remembrance (RoR) 2022. Over the course of the 11-13th November 2022, for those who wish to become a part of a unique community and participate in a poignant pitlane Service of Remembrance reflecting upon those lost in conflict and to support those who still remain, there will be a variety of activities including RoR Anglesey, iRoR, Karting RoR and #YourROR (the opportunity for those who wish to hold their own fundraising events). On Remembrance Sunday, all activity will paused for a service of Remembrance which will be live- streamed from the pitlane of Anglesey at 11:00 hours.
James Cameron, CEO, Mission Motorsport said, “We are thrilled to announce the 2022 dates for Race of Remembrance. Centred around the important act of remembrance – of our fallen comrades, family members or friends, and to support those who remain, RoR provides the opportunity to participate in a very special, very poignant pitlane Remembrance Service as one community. By pausing all activity and live-streaming the service, we are ensuring that those who perhaps cannot attend a service in person, can do so, regardless of where they are in the world.”
After a successful 2021, which saw a sell out grid, Mission Motorsport will once again be partnering with BRSCC giving motorsport enthusiasts the opportunity to race in the unique 12 hour endurance race at Anglesey circuit, Wales. The race will begin at 15:00 on Saturday 12th November, racing into the darkness with an overnight suspension from 21:00. The race resumes at 09:00 hours on Remembrance Sunday, but the Safety Car will pause the race for that emotive service in the pitlane that brings competitors, spectators and teams together as one community. The race will then continue before a winner is crowned 15:30 when the race ends.
Entries for RoR Anglesey, managed by BRSCC, will be announced later in the month. Owing to its increased popularity, entries are expected to sell out quickly. It’s great that the club have again been tasked with the same supporting role for 2022, and we look forward to pulling out all of the stops to ensure that this year’s Race of Remembrance provides Mission Motorsport, race competitors, event contributors and supporters with another enjoyable and memorable race weekend.”
RoR Anglesey is just one of several events hosted by Mission Motorsport across the weekend. iRoR, the online Race of Remembrance, will return once again, allowing online racers and spectators to join the Pitlane Service of Remembrance and race against others on the hugely popular iRacing Platform.
Introduced to the RoR calendar in 2021, the hugely successful and in-demand Karting RoR will also return. Teaming up with BARC once again, Mission Motorsport will be hosting a Service of Remembrance and endurance karting race at Thruxton Karting Centre, Hampshire, which is the first to boast a unique flyover. Again, details on how to participate in Karting RoR 2022 will be announced later in the year.

Race of Remembrance weekend aspires to give the most number of people the opportunity to be supported by like-minded individuals who understand what an extremely difficult time of year it can be for some.”
In March 2022, Mission Motorsport celebrated 10 years of operations and to date has engaged with over 2040 wounded, injured and sick personnel, hosted in excess of 876 events providing sporting output and helped more than 2,000 service leavers including 300 wounded, injured or sick find employment in the automotive industry.
