Falken Motorsports ready to tackle TotalEnergies 24h Race at the Nürburgring

The 50th running of the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Race at the Nürburgring is right around the corner. Falken Motorsports is ready to tackle the endurance classic in the Eifel this year and fight for the podium places with a brace of Porsche 911 GT3 Rs and seven highly-experienced GT drivers.

The team feels confident of a strong result with the driver line-up that it has put together. At the wheel of its two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs will be a mixture of experienced Nordschleife specialists, long-time Falken drivers and talented youngsters who will head to the event full of ambition. The #33 Falken Porsche will be driven by Jaxon Evans, Sven Müller, Patrick Pilet and Marco Seefried. In the #44 GT3 racer, Patrick Pilet will also be a part of the line-up and perform double duty with Klaus Bachler, Alessio Picariello and Martin Ragginger.

New Zealander Jaxon Evans is new to Falken Motorsports and the Nordschleife this year, but is very familiar with Porsche’s GT3 car. Klaus Bachler, Martin Ragginger and Sven Müller on the other hand have been part of the team for many years. Patrick Pilet, meanwhile, is a previous overall winner of the 24-hour race, taking victory in 2018 with Porsche.

Marco Seefried is also highly experienced at racing in the ‘Green Hell’, the GT3 specialist is known for being versatile, as he has been racing successfully at the Nürburgring for many years in a variety of GT cars. Completing the line-up is Alessio Picariello, who made his Falken Motorsports debut last year and has impressed with strong performances ever since.

With the Porsche 911 GT3 R, Falken Motorsports has a strong foundation for success. Its six-cylinder engine delivers over 500 hp and ensures optimum traction thanks to its installation position in the rear. The sequential six-speed gearbox feeds the power back to the Falken tyres, which have been developed on the Nordschliefe by the team over a number of years. Ideally suited to the changeable conditions at the Nürburgring, the 911 GT3 R has also proven itself to be a competitive package in all weathers since its debut as a customer car.

Falken Motorsports has been competing on the Nordschleife with the Porsche 911 platform for over ten years. The team’s best result came in 2015 with it finished third overall at the 24-hours. With the support of the fans, who are returning to the Nordschleife with full access at the event for the first time in two years, Falken is determined to put on a show and fight for the overall victory in the hotly contested SP9 category.

The ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Race at the Nürburgring will take place from 26 to 29 May 2022.
