Fiskens at Retromobile 2017

Fiskens, one of the world’s leading specialists in fine historic automobiles, has returned to the Mews following the team’s annual sojourn at the Salon Rétromobile in Paris, held earlier this month. This year’s display was greeted with enthusiasm from visitors around the globe, who enjoyed the eclectic mix of fine machinery, ranging in date from 1894–1978. Interest in the 14 new consignments was strong and consistent, with the 1931 Alfa Romeo 8C Spider and 1932 Bugatti Type 55 arguably stealing the show.

Robert Fellowes of Fiskens said “we have a track record of unveiling an impressive collection of cars in Paris, and I think this year has been no exception. With a balanced mix of exotic race machinery and luxurious road-going examples, there was truly something for everyone with an interest in our kind of cars. There were encouraging signs from the market too and we all sensed a buzz and renewed enthusiasm, underlined by some strong results at auctions that surrounded the show. A sale was agreed on the 1952 DB3 Aston Martin on the first day of the event we expect more to follow, demonstrating that there is still considerable demand for the world’s best cars”.

For those of you unable to join the team in Paris this time, the full collection is available now to view at the Mews.  Full details of the Rétromobile consignments can be found by clicking here http://www.fiskens.com/cars-for-sale
