Leading specialist Fiskens will be attending London’s inaugural City Concours on 8-9 June. The event is set to take place in the Honourable Artillery Company gardens, and will combine some of the world’s finest cars with a luxury pavilion featuring watchmakers, art, food and artisan retailers.
Fiskens will present three sublime cars at the exclusive venue – a 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO, a 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Volante and a 1964 AC Cobra.
Billed by Ferrari as ‘the most extreme sports car’ it had ever built, the GTO was produced to the tune of just 599 examples and was only the third model to carry the legendary name after the 250 and 288. Boasting twice as much downforce as the 599 GTB, and with 50bhp more from its V12 engine, the GTO was 100kg lighter than its sibling and was, in effect, a roadgoing version of the 599XX racer. The Nero Daytona example that will be displayed in London comes with Classiche certification and has covered only 5300km.
After producing 37 ‘interim’ DB6 Volantes with the DB5’s body and shorter chassis, Aston Martin then introduced the DB6 Volante Mk1, which used the longer wheelbase and the updated DB6 body style. Fiskens will be displaying one of the 140 Mk1s at City Concours along with a stunning AC Cobra. The CSX 2484 was billed new to Shelby America in June 1964 and has recently had a comprehensive restoration to FIA specification by renowned California-based Cobra authority Mike McCluskey, this highly eligible Cobra is offered ready to race.
The Fiskens team will be on hand to discuss any of the cars that it’s currently offering, as well as new consignments to its recently enlarged mews showroom.
Later in the year, Fiskens will also be attending the Le Mans 24 Hours, the Silverstone Classic, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the Goodwood Revival and the Spa Six Hours.
