Family entertainment reaches new heights over bumper Bank Holiday weekend

Team Extreme will be bringing world class BMXers to The Classic at Silverstone over the late summer Bank Holiday weekend (26-28 August) as part of an exciting new addition to the festival’s Adrenaline Zone.

A series of shows from Team Extreme will be showcasing the amazing skills of the country’s best talent as well as offering coaching sessions for thrill seekers attending the event with bikes, skateboards, scooter pads and helmets all provided by Team Extreme for use by anyone who wants to give it a go.

Those wowing the crowds include Declan Brooks and Kieran Reilly – legends in the world of extreme sports. Brooks  won a BMX Olympic bronze medal in Tokyo 2020 while Reilly  is hailed as one of the most mind-blowing of all competition riders on the BMX park scene and is the first person in history to land a triple flair.

Together with fellow top riders from three other disciplines – skateboard, scooter and inline skate – they will be performing on a 6m spine ramp which Team Extreme rates as its most exciting display, guaranteed to amaze any audience.

With its new summer Bank Holiday weekend, The Classic is now offering more family entertainment than ever before.

While a thrilling line-up of retro races plus massive displays of classic cars remain at its heart, this summer’s spectacular show also stars a mouth-watering new Foodie Fest with top TV chefs and the Diddly Squat Farm pop-up shop. There’s also an expanded programme of live music on all three evenings featuring chart-toppers Sister Sledge, Gabrielle and headliner Rick Astley as well as a shopping village, a huge array of fun fair rides, stunt shows, interactive demos plus the world exclusive showcase of Lewis Hamilton’s championship winning cars.

“There really is something for everyone at The Classic, including extreme sports enthusiasts now too,” commented Nick Wigley, CEO of The Classic promoter Goose Live Events. “With pit-stop challenges, racing simulators, a Batak Wall and Team Extreme shows and coaching sessions, the Adrenaline Zone will certainly be living up to its name.”

Providing exceptionally good value, all tickets for The Classic include admission to the Adrenaline Zone as well as the Foodie Fest and live music concerts. Three-day weekend tickets are also available for those seeking the perfect family festival staycation at Silverstone over the Bank Holiday weekend.
