Flywheel event makes triumphant return to Bicester Heritage
20,000 tickets will be released for the two-day flagship event
The showcase will celebrate wings, wheels and motion in all its thrilling forms
2023 is the tenth anniversary of the former RAF site, now home to over 50 specialist businesses and a thriving community of historic motoring experts

Bicester Heritage is primed to welcome its flagship Flywheel event back to its storied site for 2023 on the 17th and 18th of June, bringing two jam-packed days of action celebrating all things wings, wheels and motion – a suitably spectacular tribute for the former WW2 RAF bomber base’s ten-year anniversary celebrations.

With a total of 20,000 tickets set to be released for the two-day extravaganza, 10,000 members of the public will be welcomed to the Bicester Heritage site each day. Adult tickets will be priced at £27 per ticket, with entry for children up to the age of 15 priced at £7.50.

A true feast for historic car enthusiasts’ senses, Flywheel will see a host of classic motoring marques join the displays along the tree-lined avenues of the historic site. Fans of vintage flight can expect an equally spectacular showcase, with a broad range of historic aircraft set to grace the site’s grass airfield – winding back the years and commemorating the site’s heritage as an RAF Blenheim Bomber training station.

Attendees can expect to witness the sights and sounds of the Experience and Demonstration Track in action, with live displays planned across the weekend. Bicester Heritage’s 50-plus specialists will also be on-hand for attendees to discover the fascinating blend of skills and crafts that defines the site – from vintage upholstery, classic oils and historic-motor dealers, to electric single-seater racing cars and exciting new e-mobility technologies.

Bicester Heritage’s Scramblers membership club will be present in full force, promising a range of curated delights on the Scramblers Lawn, powered by Collecting Cars.

Daniel Geoghegan, CEO, Bicester Motion comments: “This year is a particularly special one for us here at Bicester Heritage, and the return of Flywheel is a fitting tribute to celebrate the story of our unique site. We hope to welcome attendees of all ages to join us for what will be a spectacular event, a tribute to the hard work of our specialist community and all those who have supported our drive here at Bicester since day one.”
