Entries open for the Sorrento Roads 2024, an event that takes the Red Arrow to areas other than the classic historic race route from Brescia to Rome and back.
Vehicles produced before 1990 will be given priority. Cars registered after that date and not certified by the Registro 1000 Miglia will also be able to enter for the race.
The event, now in its third edition, will once again cross one of the most beautiful and popular areas of the Italian peninsula from 4 to 7 April: the heart of the event will be Sorrento, but the route will also reach Capri, Paestum, Pompeii, Salerno and the Amalfi Coast.
In a journey of discovery of the gastronomic, natural and cultural excellence of the Campania region and a driving experience in breath-taking scenery, Friday 5 April will be dedicated to the race that, starting from Sorrento, will travel along the splendid Amalfi Coast to Salerno, from where it will descend in the direction of Paestum for lunch and a visit to the Archaeological Park. In the afternoon, the route will return to Salerno, circumnavigating the Valle delle Ferriere State Reserve to climb up to the Pompeii area and descend again in the direction of Castellammare di Stabia, before crossing the finish line in Sorrento.
The following day the competing cars will be displayed in the town centre of Sorrento for evaluation by a popular jury while the participants will sail on to Capri: in the afternoon, the traditional and exciting 1 vs 1 challenge of the Trofeo Città di Sorrento will take place.
