Michelin-starred chef Ollie Dabbousto cook at Goodwood Festival of Speed

Michelin-starred chef Ollie Dabbous to cook in new Surtees Pavilion at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.
The Festival of Speed takes place Thursday 11 – Sunday 14 July.
General admission tickets for Saturday are now sold out, with Thursday, Friday and Sunday tickets still available to purchase at goodwood.com.

Goodwood has to announce that the new Surtees Pavilion at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard will be curated by Ollie Dabbous, Co-Founder and Executive Chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant HIDE.

Providing uninterrupted views of the Goodwood hillclimb, alongside exemplary food and a relaxed atmosphere, the Surtees Pavilion will bring a modern twist to classic dining as Goodwood collaborates with Ollie Dabbous to deliver a menu defined by excellence.

Located at the heart of the Festival of Speed, the unique dining experience partnered with perfectly-crafted cocktails and a live DJ, will offer diners a healthy twist on summer classics. Priding itself on a farm-to-fork dining experience, all produce and ingredients used in the Surtees Pavilion will be carefully selected from the Goodwood Estate and local area, with Ollie on hand meticulously crafting each course.

The Pavilion takes its name from one of Britain’s most successful and beloved drivers, John Surtees – the only World Champion on two and four wheels. A great friend and supporter of Goodwood, Surtees served as a Patron of the very first Festival of Speed, organising the motorcycle classes for the event in 1993. Surtees’ legacy continues to inspire here at Goodwood and will be celebrated at our headline motorsport events this year, with John Surtees announced as the Goodwood Revival’s celebrated driver for 2024.

Goodwood is looking forward to working with Ollie Dabbous to provide a truly unique culinary experience at the Festival of Speed this year. Having trained at Le Manoir aux Qaut’Saisons, Ollie opened his first restaurant, Dabbous, in 2012 and has since launched the Michelin-starred HIDE Restaurant on Piccadilly in 2017, where he has become renowned for working with seasonal and high-quality ingredients, whilst showcasing contemporary cuisine and elegant design.

Ollie Dabbous, Michelin-starred chef and co-creator of the Surtees Pavilion menu, said: “Since I was a child, I have always loved cars and so by coming to cook for guests at Goodwood’s Festival of Speed, I am delighted to be combining my first passion, cooking, with what I’d like to be doing otherwise, watching (and sometimes driving!) incredible cars!”

The Duke of Richmond said: “Here at Goodwood we're renowned for delivering exceptional experiences, so I’m delighted that Michelin Starred Chef Ollie Dabbous is joining forces with us at the Festival of Speed this year. His extraordinary skills and passion for high-quality ingredients aligns with our own values and gives us the opportunity to showcase the wonderful produce from our own Goodwood Farm. We look forward to welcoming guests to our new Surtees Pavilion (named after Goodwood Patron John Surtees) for the ultimate culinary fuelled experience at this summer's Festival of Speed.”
